Quick start
- Pick a template — or use AI. Choose a starting point, or describe your business and let AI draft one. You can change every part of it.
- Fill in your business, then add sections. Type your name, contact details and content. Each section holds blocks (text, photos, hours, buttons…).
- Watch the live preview. The panel on the right shows your real site updating as you type.
- Share it. Hit Copy link to share your site as a link, or Download to save it as a file you can host anywhere.

- Templates
- Ready-made starting points (café, salon, landing page, and more — or start blank). Everything is editable, so pick whichever is closest.
- AI: generate & edit
- Staring at a blank page? On the New site screen, describe your business and AI writes a first draft. To change a site you already have, hit ✨ Edit with AI in the top bar and describe the change (“make the buttons green”, “add a contact page”, “shorten the hero text”). The change lands on your live site, and a bar lists what changed and lets you Keep or Undo it. Anything AI makes you can still edit by hand.
- Pages
- A site can have one page or many. Use the Pages bar to switch pages, add one with + Page, or rename / reorder / delete the current page. The menu links to your pages; the first page is the home page. When you Download a multi-page site you get a folder (zip) with one HTML file per page, all linked together.
- Sections & blocks
- Each page is made of sections; inside each you add blocks with + Add block: Text, Heading, Menu / price list, List, Hours, Button, Social links, Image, Gallery, Divider, Hero, Columns. Drag to reorder; each section can show or hide in the menu.
- Design & colours
- Pick a theme preset (Classic, Warm, Elegant, Fresh, Midnight, Mono), then fine-tune the accent colour (pick a swatch or type a hex like
#163688), light/dark appearance and font. Set Nav bar colours under Navigation. For a single element, open its Advanced panel to set a custom Text, Fill / background, or Border colour — this is how you recolour a button. Leave a colour empty to follow the theme. Choose Tabbed sections (one at a time) or One scrolling page.
- Sharing your site
- Copy link — your whole site travels inside the link; paste it to share (nothing is uploaded). Edit link — a link that reopens this draft so you can keep editing later. Download — a self-contained file to host anywhere. Adding photos makes share links larger — the Link meter in the top bar shows how much room is left. If a site gets too big to open as a link, use Download instead; it has no size limit. Shared and downloaded sites show a small “Made with Website Wombat” credit at the bottom — untick it under Navigation if you'd rather hide it.
- Your work autosaves & works offline
- Drafts save automatically on this device (in your browser) and the tool works offline — you can even install it as an app from your browser's menu. You can keep several sites and switch between them from My sites in the top bar. Your sites live only in this browser, though, so to move to another device or keep a safe backup use Edit link or Download. (Clearing your browser's site data erases them.)
- Form vs JSON
- The Form / JSON toggle edits the same site. The form is all you need; JSON is an optional advanced view.
